PRESENT: Donna Stambaugh, Kathy Ruis, Sally Lounsberry, Krys Lyle, Lori souders, Jean Weirenga, Lillian Gregg

- Meeting was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by Stambaugh
 - Additions to Agenda:
 - Millage
 - Copy Fees
 - Beaver Island Cultural Arts Association
 - Posting minutes/Agenda to websites
 - Corrections to minutes of June 17, 2010 meeting
 - Page 2: should be corrected to November not September
 - Accept correction by Lyle, seconded by Weirgenga, approved
 - Financial Report
 - No red flags for excessive expenditures
 - Audit report for last year; letter included from accountant that all is well
 - Accept report motion by Gregg, seconded by Ruis, accepted
 - Librarian Report
 - Article of Library News went to all newspapers
 - Fancy Nancy party was huge hit; hope to repeat next year
 - Using the library online catalog
 - Easy to do but must register
 - Computer problem with fluxuating power
 - We now have battery backup if power goes down
 - We have increased our computer speed from 3mg to 10mg
 - Old Business
 - Suggestions for display case
 - Dan McDonough, Frank Solle this summer
 - No response from Jeff Cashman
 - Need new display
 - Krys Lyle
 - No response from Bartletts on disposal of carpet
 - New Business
 - Technology update
 - Catalog up and online
 - Computers working
 - Landscape
 - Harriet's tree is looking rough
 - Cherry tree is doing great
 - Pam Moxham is doing excellent job of gardening
 - Millage
 - Taxable value has dropped
 - We have not requested a full mil, we have requested .9 mil
 - Outside needs to be painted; no other large expenses
 - Motion Ruis to levy .9, seconded by Lounsberry, approved
 - Freedom of Information Act requests
 - Copies made and sent; need policy for copy fees
 - Proposed policy by next meeting
 - Township website
 - Minutes of meeting
 - On library website and township website
 - Hard copy on file
 - Beaver Island Cultural Arts Association
 - Lyle - start now to have quartet play perhaps
 - Stambaugh stated that if cost were involved, Don Langford has expressed interest in helping
 - Public Comment was heard from Ken Taylor and Dan Connaghan
 - Motion to adjourn by Gregg; seconded by Lounsberry, approved at 5:20 p.m.
